Need a little help in fixing this problem its a code to my Chevy 98 K-1500. DTC B1071 Internal SDM Failure This code should be common to most chevys. Any help will be appreciated. By the way its not a service engine soon light, its the airbag light and thats the code i pulled with diagnostic service tool.

The Sensing Diagnostic Module has an internal failure. You would call it the Air Bag controller. Not sure where it is on that truck, but on all GM cars it's under the carpet under the front passenger seat.
So basically replace the moduel where ever its. If its dead its dead right. Should be just plug and play, Right? Thanks for the info.
