I recently had some warranty trans work done on my cav. When the dealer put everything back together, they forgot to anchor one of the grounds coming from the battery. At first, I drove from the dealer lot and my gauges started going nuts and my car wouldn't start back up after I shut it off... So I popped the hood to find a ground wire coming from the battery just dangling in the breeze. The wire has a loop at the end so it can fit over a bolt so I found the nearest bolt and just slipped it over it. Car started back up and everything was good, but now every time I hit a bump and it gets jostled, my gauges all reset and the service light comes on until I turn off the car. I wanna just put a nut on the other end of that loop to anchor it down but I don't know what size nut to buy. It is the bolt at the very top of the bellhousing on the driver side... anybody know what size that is?
go to a hardware store that has a large cabinet of nuts and bolts, or even some parts stores have them. get someone to help you, or even try multiple ones till you find the one that fits and then just buy it and put it on...
