removing brake hardline fitting

I'm in the process of doing the neon rear brake swap. I went to remove the hard-line connection and the "nut" was so soft that the flare wrench went right around with out turning the nut. the nut looks like its all but stripped at this point. and the worst part is that that is what i need to hook up the new calipers with. does anyone have any tricks for getting these lil buggers off? at this point I'm tempted to go pull a couple of lines off at the junkyard and just run new ones all the way back from the RPV's.

if something doesn't make sense PLEASE ask, I'm really tired, and bummed up too

I am thinking you might have to cut the line to get the fittting to slide off, Then if you got some extra brake lines, With a brake flaring kit add the new brake line and fitting, Should be set to go.
