Well i just got a BRAND new battery..
i have nothing hooked up to the battery

its obviously not the alternator i can jump the car and it will run forever it just when it sits for like a day.
i have no clue what could be draining it.

May seem simple, but have you checked your alternator?

Sounds like the same problem that i was having with mine. It ended up being the alternator. My car would have to be jumped in the morning and would last and run all day until the next morning when i would try to start it again.

You sure your brand new battery is good? I would take it up to Wal-Mart, AutoZone, etc, and have them run a test on your charging system in general. That should tell you if your battery and alt are good. I had a battery go bad in 1 month before. Thought my alt was going bad, took it to the local parts store, tested and the brand new battery was bad. Got it replaced for free and no problems since.

Someone once told me remote starters are notorious for killing batters if not hooked up right...

even if they are hooked up right they aren't always good for the charging/starting system.

GO PATS!!!

i'd have to guess the rectifier is bad. that's really the only possible cause, going by your symptoms (discharges when sitting, runs when jumped). the diodes are shot and are not converting AC to DC, so your battery is not charging. plus, bad diodes are a direct connection to ground, which would drain your battery overnight. unfortunately, the regulator/rectifier is built into the alternator, so you'll have to get a new one.
