i purchaced this

a keypad starter, similar to the one in the movie the transporter, for a couple of reasons.....
1)people would steal my keys and go drive my car around (these are friends of mine who dont have their temps yet)
2)i thought it would look slick
ok, fine n dandy.....
i dont have a scanner so i'll basically type out the diagram as best as i can
red wire - goes to 12v pos source
black wire - goes to ground source
orange wire - goes to 12v constant when key is in the on position
white wire - to an alarm system
blue wire - same as white
ok, i got all of thses set up ok, minus the white and blue, those i didnt hook up at all, i dont want an alarm to go off...
got them all pluged in, and tested the keypad out to make sure it did what it was supposed to
(
turn key to on position
type in code
red light stops flashing, and green light turns on
)
now as for the 2 remaning wires....yellow and green
the diagram wasent all that specific as to where these were supposed to go.....and it probably should have
ok, i dont know how to explain it, so i basically remade part of the diagram
down by the cut part is where it should have been ALOT more specific....
i basically found where my starter solenoid was, and found the wires and the relay....
so i looked online for the relay and what each of the wires did
i found this page, along with others :

and in my haynes repair manuel, the wire leading to #87 on the relay was the "switch".....so i cut that one......bad desision......VERY bad desision...
lets put it this way....
Current Project Status: car wont start at all....
i think my battery may be dieing....cuz i havent really used it a whole lot lately, and have been working inside of the car using the interior lights, as well as a 1.25 milliion candel power light via the cig adaptor...
i ripped off the whole key pad thing, and reconnected the wire that was to be "cut" in the diagram, just hoping my car would start.....nope....
any help would probably help....if not give me a little bit more hope

What car is the problem on?
Next, you need to get the battery charged.
By "Relay" do you mean the one fitted as part of the ignition recall? This is just a guess.
Post back the info so we can help

the car is a 1998 cavalier 2.2l OHV
and as of now, the problem is "fixed"
my moms friend took a look at it, and we cleaned the terminal on the starter, and jumped my car....but while we jumped my car, my moms friend was taking a wrench and knocking the starter solenoid.......so....idk.....he said if its fine by nextweek, it should be good.....otherwise i need a new starter solenoid...
and whats this ignition recall ur tlakin about...... is my car with in the years of it....or not?

It does apply to 1998's
It basically placed a relay in the supply wire from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid.
This meant the ignition switch supplied the relay coil(Low current) which closed it's contacts to supply the Starter Solenoid(Higher current).
This reduces the amount of current flowing through the ignition switch and original wire to the Starter solenoid.
This recall checked the wiring, replaced wiring and switch(If neccessary) and wired in the new relay.
After all this, some owners had trouble with the extra relay failling.
If it has been done, in your case, it may be the relay that is at fault and was making better contact when the Starter Solenoid was tapped.

no, u deff confused me...
are you saying that i should take my car in, and have it checked, and possably new relay n what not put in....
or
are you sayin that i shouldnt worry about it now that my car is back to normal (starting)

I really mentioned it because it adds a new relay and some wiring to the solenoid circuit.
If you didn't know it was there you might not have been checking the added relay and wiring.
Your fault MAY have been in the added components.
