OK so i took my car to the air condition fixing place because when i bought it the air didnt work they said that the evaporater had a leak in it and needed to be replaced and it would cost me $900 with parts and labor which is crazy. I cant afford to pay that much I found the part for 200$ brand new on autozones website and the guy even told me his part was only 300$ the other 600$ was for taking the dash out and putting it back in..Ok so I took the dash out in less than 1 hour and I have never really taken a dash out before so obviously he was trying to screw me over on the price.

What I would like some help with is could anyone point me to a guide or tell me what I need so that I can replace the evaporater myself or does it take any special air conditioning tools to do this or what im kinda lost on air conditions I havent had much experience with them. Tomorrow im going to be taking a few more things out of the way and I should be to the point of being able to see the evaporator I guess since I dont really know what it looks like. Ill take some pictures of the area and post them on here tomorrow night. Any help would be great I tryed to search the forums and surprisingly I couldnt find anything about this.

I couldnt figure out how to edit my msg but i had one other question i want to go ahead and change out the steering wheel to a racing one while i have the dash out but i cant find a hub adapter kit can i use one for the same year cavelier and also is there a page on this forum that lists all the things that can be used like aftermarket parts you can buy for cavalier that will fit the sunfire also?
