My fiance' has a 96 Cavy: 2.2 Liter, automatic, A/C w/ power steering. Her car does not want to turn left. It will go left but, only if you pull it really hard and the A/C or heater can not be on or it is virtually impossible. Her power steering pump squals when you turn it but, not horribly. The car has no problem at all going right. Any ideas on how to cure this aside from maybe a power steering pump? I checked her serpentine belt/ It is not loose and has no fluids on it.

Well thats what you wanna hope for.
Sounds like the pump going bad or rack problems.
Or possibly a control arm stuck or something.

is it that its hard to turn left or wont turn left at all.....try jsut putting the key in run but not turning it on, if it moves left then ur rack is bad. if it only prevents you when the car is runing its the pump or something in that region

it dosent sound like a pump problem but im not there to see exactly what it is doing, chances are high that its a rack issue, shouldn't be a hose cause it is flowing enough fluid to help you turn right, its not an easy problem to check on the ground, there are some tricks you can try but without a rack its pretty hard to do that

There is a recall on the pinion bearing which causes the same thing the o/p is describing.

Call a GM dealer and see if your car is elig for that recall.
