my 92 cav starts but when i take my hand from key it springs back to off ... how hard is it to put on cylinder and how much is labor

Hey Ted, I replaced my 91 cav's and it's the actual ignition switch you need to replace not the cylinder
where you put the key in. The only hard part was taking the two bolts off the switch. They were the rounded heads,
kinda like a rivet head, I used a chisel to "unscrew it". Kinda hard to explain without showing you.
But when you get a replacement switch, it has temporary bolt heads that will break off when you hit the required
torque. Like I said it's easy except those two rounded bolts. Hopefully it's not the same with yours.

Oh yeah, you have two remove your steering wheel to take off the column covers.
Correction, it is the whole thing not just the switch. Sorry.
