HELP 2000 FIRE NO GO ??????
Wednesday, October 04, 2006 5:28 PM

I just bought a 2000 sunfire with the 2200 and it was running perfect, just like new !! Well all of a sudden it felt like it was going to stall out on me, so i pulled over to see what was going on. I tried driving again and
it takes forever to build up speed, and keeps wanting to stall in first gear
The rpms take forever to go up ! It takes me like 25 seconds just to get up to 25MPH

It seems like the car isnt getting enough gas or somethin and even when you floor it the rpms are still moving up slowly !!

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT IF THEY HAVE HEARD OF THIS !!

Could be a plugged fuel filter, Possible fuel pump, Also I would get the fuel pump pressure tested before, Buying new pump. Are you getting a Check engine light on?.

Sounds like your TPS or MAP defective.
Far off is a vaccum leak or clogged air filter
Fuel is a possiblity but youd either run rich or lean and your ECU would call it out. No fuel pressure would mean no running car.
Dont rule it out though!

Hope it helps

...They just HATE it when you ...POINT - LAUGH - then DRIVE OFF AND AWAY-!...
