will 95 2.2 work in 97 2.2

the problem i have is the 95 engine does not have a camshaft position sensor on the side of
the block like the 97 does and will it still run with just the crankshaft sensor hook up if not will
the head off the 95 work on the 97 block. the 97 jump time and crash the valves and the 95
is a rebuilt engine thank for any info.

I am pretty sure it will bolt up and motor should work just fine.

thanks i was worry about not having a camshaft position sensor

I also recall reading there may be a difference in size of the alignment pin for the tranny to engine face. If I recall correctly it changed from the 96 to 97 year. Thus you might want to investigate further.
