Error message on milage meater...

I'm having this stupid problem about an error message appears on my mileage meter.... WHAT error!? I installed a capacitor to my sound system today, do you think that can be it - if so how can that have anything to do with this.... this was all random... it happened right after i re connected the battery...... gay...... error...



lol its funny but I want to see my miles.. help please what do you think it is?

um what car are you talking about, beucase im lik e99% sure cavs are not advanced enough to say error where the odometere is, but if I am wrong, double check the wiring from the cap. Take it off, and see what happens.

Its a 2002 chevy cavalier.... I tryed everything still wont come off

was their any wires spliced into the cars wiring harness?. If some remove it, Then see if the problem ocurs still.

that would be from the ERLS or PCM loss of power, the PCM is reporting faulty milage reading, perhaps it had a loss of memory, my sunfire does that if you remove the PCM or ERLS fuse and try to start the car, does it start fine?

ya our cars will say error mine will randomly say it something about my ac sometimes causes shorts or someting cuz my lights will dim at times the theft system light comes on, service engine light, sometimes the coolant light and every now and then then the speedometer says error, and it wont stop for a random amounts of time but always fixes it if i turn the car off and turn it back on weird huh it doesnt do this all the time just randomly i dunno why

I had that problem when I had a bad ground, go over your wiring again.
