I have the same problem.
How do you get the connector part there?
I ran Ohm meter from + on battery to Orange cable at light bulb with coming back broken link.
The other left headlight came back with .03 Ohms.
I then ran from Fuse box to right light and still broken link.
Mine is broken somewhere between the fuse and the light. So I figure somewhere in the connector? But unable to figure out how to get the connector apart.

Agreed,
Sounds like your getting too much resistance to the left side lights. Check the wires (exposed or broken), relays (for a humming noise), fuses (if blown), blah, blah. All in all, it could just be a bad ground!
Hope it helps!

have you replaced your bulbs?
one problem i had is when after i put in some "white" (eurolight) bulbs.. it kept burning out my headlight switch. i opened up my turn signal switch... a lot more stuff was shiny metal than should have been, looked like melted solder.
gmpartsdirect.com has them pretty "cheap"
my problem was my headlights STOPPED working. period. so, its just a hunch.
good luck
