I fired the Sunbird GT up after connecting the vacuum pipes correctly
but the car still runs like s*#@!
I drop 2kilometers max and put it back in the garage.... Opened the hood and the manifold is glowing...... What could be the problem??
Also the car splutters and jerks and barely wants to go!!
Same thing happens to my turbo header - only after really driving the car hard though. The exhaust heats it up so much that a redish-orange glow can be seen at night if I lift the hood right after parking the car.
How old are your: Spark Plugs / Fuel Filter ?
Have you cleaned the fuel injectors latley?
Hows the Catalic Converter acting? plugged maybe?
Just some ideas....

Check out my Part Out List!! Great Prices !!

Hmmmmm.............
Motors just been built so plugs and filters are new!
No, catalitic converter on the car.....straight through pipe from the turbo to the rear
silencer!
I'm racking my brain on this and just can't figure it out!
P.S. The car has been running fine with out the converter for over 9 years now!!
Any other suggestions are welcome!
If you've run that car with leaded gas chances are your oxygen sensor has croaked and your fuel mixture is screwed up. A lean mixture can cause the engine to overheat. Is this an imported car with left hand drive or is it made in S.Africa and with right hand drive?
You running rich or lean?
