I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get new keys with the factory rubber grips? I know it sounds stupid but I really like them. I got duplicates from the dealer but they are hard plastic grips in the same shape. Thanks in advance for your responses!

We didn't get the stock keys with our Cav, but we got a spare made at a True Value Hdw and they had plain and black keys. It seems very similar to stock. You might give them a try.

If anyone knows please PM me too. I've been super gluing mine back together for years now cause I like them.
I've found the same thing, either hard plastic or if I can find rubber it doesn't say GM on it.
Any lock smith sells the rubber incerts.
My 98 has soft rubber and the 02 has hard plastic. The soft rubber is worn and about to come off the key which is probably why they switched over.

check ebay. i think they have blanks with the rubber grips. then take em to a hardware store or locksmith to get cut to match your key.
i know at my walmart here in FL they have the same keys like my stock one but it dosnt say gm on it.
