well, even if i were to just judge by the name, it means you have a large leak in your evaporative emissisons control system. essentially, this system is made up and is intended to be a completely sealed system consisting of your fuel tank and filler neck, including your gas cap, the evap canister, vacuum lines connecting them, as well as the purge solenoid and canister vent valve. it means, somewhere along the line, in one of those components, there is a problem that is not letting the system hold a vacuum.

I had that code a while back on a 1997 2.2. In the end it turned out to be a crack in the EVAP vacume supply line at the bend beside the intake manifold/throttle body. As this is part of the multi line manifold made of hard plastic, I was able to cut out the damaged plastic bend and find a short piece of standard vacume hose the right inner diameter to splice in a new bend.
