First off I dont know if this shoud be in the tranny forum or here so I apologize but anyways...
My car is a 99 LD9 Z24 -auto-. I have most of your basic bolt-ons(intake,headers,exhaust,blah,blah,blah) but when I installed my bored out TB... I noticed it started shifting in early rpms from 1st to 2nd. It only seems to do it while Im daily driving. When I floor it, it seems to run like normal.
Now as I read some of the past TB post, they say to swap the tps from the 2.4 to the 2.3 tps. Is this true or only for the actual 2.3 TB swap? Someone also said that its cause I have a 62mm TB but I also swapped it for my extra 56mm and it still does it. However I put the stock one back on and (in Emerils Voice) "BAM", it shifits like the norm. (well duh its cause its back to norm specs) No vaccum leaks or nothing. It doesnt seem like its causing damage to the tranny but.....If anyone can help me out it'd be most appreciated.
Thanxz again

is this a 3 spd or 4spd trans? if it's the 3 spd it sounds like the detent "TV" cable is out of adjustment. Thats what it sounds like to me. if it's the 4spd I'm not sure. if it is the 4 spd disconnect your battery for a couple hours reset the computer and let it relearn and go from there.

2009 Ford Mustang V6
Its a 4 speed auto.
I thought it might be that the ECU is still trained for the old setup but I reset the system sometime after I put on the bigger TB. Even reset it after I put back on the 56tb. Still no change. Thought it might the fluid, but No, its a nice cherry flavor (even changed it again to be sure last night). Checked all the hook-ups...Fine...
I dont know if this is early shifting is bad or not. A mech said it could just be that it reaches its peak to shift faster due to the bigger TB. It doesnt feel like a problem but Im just looking for some insight.
The01Cavi or anyone have any opinions?
Thanxz in advance
