Ok, check this out. I've got a 2000 cavi 2200 with a vibrant intake and custom cat-back exhaust. Had that dont for a while. A few weeks ago I deside to clean my throttle body. I clean it with throttle body cleaner (duh!). it started a little rough then smoothed out without a problem. two days after that the idle starts getting wierd. It sounds like it's missing or something. on top of that when I go wot it hesitates like it's gonna die then takes off alot faster than it ever did before. I actually broke the tires loose on dry pavement cruisin at 20 mph, and I've got an auto?!?! WTf?
My guess would be that you may have contaminated or damaged the TPS or the IAC or both when you cleaned the throttle body. You may also want to examine the operation of the butterfly to make sure it is not sticking or jamming.
ok, I figured it out. It was either (A) My #3 plug wire was cooked. (B) My IAC was clogged. or (C) A combination of both. At least my car is running better thanx for the info lee
