just scanned my 95 2.2 yesterday on a GM Tech 2 and I'm getting a 0031 - PRNDL
now wtf is that supposed to be!? "Park, Reverse, Netural, Drive, Low" is what I read it stands for, but that means nothing to me either. help would be a wonderful thing right now
Might mean the PRNDL switch is bad.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.
5K PB: 24:50
10K PB: 54:26
why thank you captain obvious!
How about a little more explaination? wtf is a PRNDL switch? where is it? what do it do? Never heard of such a thing before in my life so I'm kinda loss on this one
I THINK it means "load," as in towing. Don't take my word for it thought
Oh, and I have no idea what your problem is.
up up and awaaaay
Low means it locks out everything but first gear genious not load...

Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch circuit - PRNDL indicates a gear other than park or neutral for 13 seconds for 3 consecutive startups when ignition was on, engine was off and vehicle speed was 0. Or the PRNDL status indicators (A, B, C, P) showed an incorrect combination of Lo and Hi for more than 10 seconds.
you would think people would have common sense to google things but ive given up on thinking that. people would rather be dicks and have everything handed to them instead of looking it up.

sad thing is, it took me all of 2 minutes to find that.

usually does. if i dont know what something is, i google it to find out more about it before i ask questions
I found that to as a matter of fact but it still makes no sence what-so-ever because my cause is a 5-speed not automatic.
But anyways I think it was an faulse alarm now becuase of a bad engine ground I found because I never got a light yet since I fixed that so hopefully I wont need to worry about it. But thanks for the help
If it's a 5sp then the switch that your clutch activates is the PRNDL switch. (Might be stuck in the position that shows the clutch is depressed?) Or be "bouncing" making/breaking contacts. Ground wire problem is a definate possibility.
