Sticking IAC valve?

From your description, it's either a sticky/dirty idle air control valve or a sticking throttle cable. Try cleaning the iac. If that doesn't work, disconnect the throttle cable, point it straight up and spray as much wd-40 down it as you can.

You know...a properly running, well mainained engine never needs Seafoam.

Umm, doesn't Seafoam fall under the catagory of "maintanence"?

Need to know where the IAC is located...
coming home tonight the car was idling crazy, around 2400 rms she was accelerating the entire drive home...
got her home when i put the car in the driveway she kind of went back to normal...
i will clean the iac as soon as i find it.., lube the cable etc..and go from there..

please advise where the IAC is asap...

my older cavy with the old 2.2 did the same thing. on your throttle body you should see something very similar to this

it is on/ around the throttle body. You can go to any junk yard and grab one for pretty cheap. if you want brand new your looking at around 100+ bucks at advanced auto parts. One thing you can do I did for one of my cavys is take it out and clean it with brake cleaner then dry very well VERY well. take a clean rag and wipe the inside of the hole it came out of. place it back in and try again. best idea is just to replace it.
