thanks
get a volt meter and test your battery and altenator. its probably just a dead battery. turn your key to the on position and see if you can hear your fuel pump
first when you try to crank the car... does it make any sound at all??? click click???, when you have the key at ON, try the radio, high beams turn signals to make sure its not the batt

hey guys, no i tryed all of that. not the battery, everything like that is good... me and dad cross the starter over and she started. then we shut the car off and tryed it by the key and no go.. we start fooling around looking at the wires. and my uncle came in and asked what was wrong. dad told me go and try the car to show him. and way she went.. but still i want to no what the problem is.. cause it's going to happen again. any ideas??? could it be a bad wire somewheres. checked all the connections
the car is still doing this.. it's something i can't find and the shop charges way to much around here and i can't afford it right now. Sometimes the car will start right up perfect not very often but sometimes.. it seems to be getting worse now. when i turn the key everything works, radio, highbeams, turn signals everything. it's not the battery or the alternator. when i crank the car there is no noise i just hear the fuel pump and the computers and stuff. there's no noise from the starter at all. the only way i can get my car started is to cross it over at the starter and gets really annoying. anyways what could i try? where is the ignition switch located and is it hard to just try another one? thanks alot.
I agree with ßãggéÐÇåv98 (Ûñqùðtäߣè Øñé) ignition switch probably
Sounds as though your problem is, assuming the cables at the starter solenoid are clean and tight
1. The Ignition switch
2 Wiring from ignition switch to solenoid
3. The starter solenoid

Disconnect the starter solenoid (S) connection and check with a voltmeter that you have a consistant +12 volts from this disconnected wire to Negative, when the Ignition switch is turned to the "Crank" position.
This will confirm the fault is either 1. or 2.
Check next at the ignition switch to confirm.
If 1. and 2. are good the starter solenoid is defective

ok accutly is the ignition switch, is it where you put the key in at? if it is i would just try to find another one to try if i knew that is what it was. thanks
