I have a gt with the 2.4 and duals. There isn't a heat shield on mine, but the duals split just before the axle and the pipe for the passenger side turns behind the axle. It's no where near the fill tube. If you think it's too close, trust your gut and route the pipe another way.

I'm half-way through putting on a pacesetter header and running 2 1/2 exhaust. I bought an equalizer tube from summit, link, to T my one pipe into 2. If the stock rear valance didn't already have the cutout, I'd be running the single pipe.

If you're interested in doing this, the kit came with 2 of those T's and I only need one. 10 bux should cover shipping to pa, let me know.

Not required but insulating heat wrap isn't a very expensive precaution.

wouldn't that H pipe half make the exhaust run out of the straight pipe more then the tube thats just stuck at a 90* angle into the pipe. What im sayin is that the exhaust will just go straight past the other pipe cuz theres really nothing in there to direct the flow into the other pipe.
