hey, I noticed that when i open my door the door drops probally almost a half an inch.. when i close it, it goes up the same.. i opened the door up and grabed the outside of it, and i can move it up and down.. what is causing this, and can i just fix it by loosing the hinges and pushing the door up?? Thanks alot
That happened to my 02 Z24 about 6 months after I bought it new.. The dealer had to take the hinges off completely and put new ones on.

like lone_wolf said the hinges prob need replaced, my 2 door had the same problem on the drivers side. I replace the bottom hinge and had no more problems.
I think i covered this topic about a month are so a go DON'T go out and buy a whole hinge set and waste your money The hinge 99.9 % has nothing to do with your car door drooping. There a pin between the hinges that keeps the hinges moving that needs to be oiled and greesed theres the pin and the two fittings that rest in the holes in the hinges the pin slides into thats the only parts that move thats what does all the wear and tear if your at home go to your bedroom door and look at the door hinge see the pin? the only thing a house door doesn't have is the fitting but its almost the same idea theres a post on the exterior postings about this with a pic of what i'm talking about
Lone wolf the dealer took off your old ones and gave you new ones? how long did that take?

no, they put them on for me.. it was covered under warranty.. you could see more than just the pin was moving, the whole assembly would move.. I think the door was ready to fall off lol..

bottom hinge. I just did one on mine. It was a bitch to get lined up though. The one that came off the car had a locating pin and the new one from gm didnt.
