In my 98' 2.2, the low coolant lights comes on randomly. It just started happedning all the sudden. I have no known coolant leaks (I checked carefully). I k\checked the reservoir and it is full. Also, the temp guage NEVER gets past halfway, ever. Why would my low coolant light come on for a few seconds and then go off. It does this repeatedly while driving. Always random, never any pattern.

tap on the res. with a screw driver.. it always gets stuck..search..

yup, same thing happened to mine about a week ago.. i had to give mine a few good tapes tho.. just at the bottom where the wires go into the tank. hope this helps

I also own a 1998 z22. Mine started doing the same thing around 180 000k. The LOW COOLANT light would come on randomly, stay on for a bit and then shut off. Make sure there is coolant in your resovoir. It turned out I needed a new water pump. That's what it will probably come down to.
