I have a problem with the car almost stalling when I turn the AC on, and when I brake at a stop light. Also the car revs up and down when I turn the AC on the it evens out. I was thinking it was the alternator, since I have 160K miles. What else could it be?
How long has it been since youre car has had a tune up?. I am thinking you IAC sensor may need cleaning, Sometimes, Carbon will plug this sensor unit, In which you can get stalling or High rpms idles when stoped.
The IAC is located behind youre throttle body near youre cars firewall.
Good Luck
Is the IAC seperate from the IAT?
Yes IAT is on youre throttle body boot, IAC is on youre throttle body thats connected to youre intake manifold.
ur throttle body boot?
the iat is on your rubber intake "S" tube
your IAT sensor is in the stock intake tube. Your IAC valve is on the throttle body.....
Mine does this also...but it is normal....when i flick on the ac it kicks the revs up to about 1300 then settles back down to about 1000, also when pushing in the clutch when Im coming to a stop, it will almost die....like it will go down to 400rpms or so but it always catches itself....so i just deem it being normal......
