So ive noticed that my car is eating up coolant lately.. like 1/3 of the resevoir every few months or so.. Ive never noticed this before.. i got some stop leak but it says to put it directly into the radiator. From what ive seen there is no direct opening into the radiator so can i just put the stuff in the resevoir and let it run like it says or am i just missing the opening to the radiator..
any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

If your ride has already had a new head gasket done, then yes, the stop leak can only be put in the system via the reservoir, as our radiators have no cap, only hose connections. The stop leak, mind you, should only be a temporary fix until you can get a permanent repair done in the near future. I got lots to say about the gasket situation, but won't bore those who already know about it.
Well.. ive never had my head gasket replaced.. However im not noticing any of the symptoms of a blown head gasket nor am i getting any fluid on the floor of my garage.. i honestly have no idea where the leak is im just trying to prevent it from getting any worse.. I still havent put the stop leak in.. ill wait until i get a few more suggestions..
Thanks
Justin

Your better off getting some UV dye in your coolant over a sealer like that. If your radiator happens to have a few restrictive caplilarys they'll become sealed with that stuff. The Dye will tell you where it's leaking with a blacklight if you leave it for a couple of months. and let stuff leak out. It's probably just a bad cap leaking steam or something because 1/3rd of a res in a couple of months isn't bad at all. granted it should be nothing but it isn't so serious that you need a quickie fix.
