i have a 1998 sunfire gt. the other day when i filled up i kept smelling gas so i got under the car and sure enough i have a gas leak. checked the connections but its definitely coming from the tank. i was thinking of buying a tank and doing it my self but wasn't sure if its a good idea to buy a tank off line. i also wanted to know what the part number was for my car.
Thanks everyone
The part number that I got from
GMPARTSDIRECT is 022592046 but it says "ship to a business address only" and the cost on it is $251.77. I looked on the
AUTOZONE website and found it for $108

1999 Z/24 - I'm pulling a tank from a partsyard and want to know what J-bodies are interchangable with it.
Autozone says GM39B is the P/N.
Silla says 1999-2001 is interchangable - can I go backwards with either a Sunfire or Cavy?
