'98 Z24 splash shield

Is it just me or does it seem stupid to have the PCM tucked under the passenger fender of these cars? My car has been reconstructed and unfortunately it was without the passenger fender splash shield. My PCM is prone to getting wet now. So far no problems but I am sure that in the rain the PCM is getting drenched. Anybody heard of any problems with a damp PCM?

wow... strangely enough, when the guy i bought my 96 from brought it back from the dealer who told him it had a broken rod and a sideways piston (by the way, it just overheated and seized, it runs perfectly now) didnt replace this piece. got mine for like $5 from the yard. didnt wanna take a chance on the same thing, since within two days of driving it the horn got flooded and shorted out.
