Well couple weeks ago i replaced my water pump and i had a hell of a time trin to get the belt back on cuz i coudn't get the tenstionor down far enough to get the belt on, but i got it on. Well now the problem si that the pulleys are freakin loud as hell. Like they should like one of them is rubbin against something or grinding. I cant tell witch one it is and none are lose or touchin anything. they are louder then the engine running. Any one what it might be?

Sounds like you got the routeing of the belt wrong. Check the diagram again.Good luck.

SOunds like the belt is tooo tight, Putting strain on the pullies themselves.

How much slack do you have in the belt?

Slack is adjusted automaticly so that should not be the problem.

well i took a nice long look at the belt system today and it looks like its routed correctly. i noticed the alternator top bolt wasn't in all the way for some reason and it looks like it bent alittle could that be the problem? I'm goin to take the belt back off and retoque the bolts on the pump and pulley see if maybe they came lose. How do you keep the pulley from moving when u tourque the bolts down?

Do it with the belt left on and keep pressure on the belt while doing the bolts.
