I have a '93 z24 3.1. Anyone happen to know of any cars with the same size engine? I lost oil, got a horrible knock in the engine. I tore the engine down, and did a full upper rebuild. Put it back together, and still have the knock. The engine itsself runs great. I've had people tell me that it sounds like I spun a bearing. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong that I'm missing? Or know if just puttin' in a new engine would solve the problem? I'm not completely sure that the knock is from the engine itsself, but it's deffinatly extremely close. I'd greatly appriciate anyones/everyones help. Thanks a lot. Mike

a rod therefore rebuilding the top didnt do crap for u

My guess is bottom end issues, If you you rebuilt the top end, Better off rebuilding the bottom end as well. Sould to be a connecting rod bearing, Hope things work out for you dude
