Hey I am not sure if this would be the right place to put this, so move it if needed


I have a 4 door 1997 Sunfire, 2.2 4 speed auto. This motor has a few prolblems and I am building it for my sister.
So I have a good 2200 out of a 99 cavalier sitting around also a 4 speed auto. So I am wondering how much work it would be to put the 2200 into the sunfire. I am assuming thta I will need to swap the engine, tranny, wiring harness, and gauge cluster. Would anything else need to be swapped? Thanks in advance.

If they are both 2200's i think all you have to swap is the engine.

Are goona have to interchange some parts, Like wiring harness ecu computer, Even if you want to swap 99 cavalier it should work with those parts changed over.

its direct fit.. u can take the engine out and the tranny axles suspension can all stay.. its pretty easy actually
