Open your door, hold it by the end where the latch is (away from the hinge). Lift up and down. There should be zero play in the hinge, so it would be moving the rest of the car up and down. If so, rehang the door.

If the hinge has play in it, it probably suffers from normal wear and tear. Either a worn bushing, bushing out of place, or worst case scenario: the bushing has worn or moved out of place and the hinge pin has enlarged its hole to an oblong shape. Remove the hinge, remove old bushings, see if a new bushing will fit snugly in the hole. If not, you'll need a new / salvage hinge or have someone weld metal to fill in the oblong shape of the worn hinge, then redrill the hole perfectly.

Here's a pic of one worn hinge I replaced on my Fiero. The bushing had somehow come out of place and the previous owner hadn't noticed, so the pin wore the hole much bigger until the door was scraping away at the actual material of the rocker panel.
