Over the last few weeks I've noticed a squeek coming from my wheels. I'm not really sure if its the front or the back. I do know I'm in need of breaks...which i may be getting tomorrow. I'm also in need of rear shocks to go with the lowering springs i put on (I know now shocks shoulda came 1st ...live and learn) . Could either of these needs be causing the squeek ?

When does the squeal happen, going straight, making a turn, going fast going slow, all speeds?????
How can help you, if you dont give us any info at all.

I can usally hear the squeek while doing 45 and under. It gets worse while turning
and its a 98 z24
It gets worse when turning in one direction, but not the other?
The reason I ask is people interpitate sounds differently. What might be a squeak to you, might be a grinding to someone else.
Anyways it could be a wheel bearing starting to fail.
It could be a strut mount bad, does it goes bad if you hit a bump.

It's a squeak and it's coming from more than one wheel, because I hear 2 different sqeaks. I'm really hoping its just the rear struts going bad...cause when I replaced the fronts with Konis , my mechanic (for all the stuff i dont have the time or tools for) said the stock strucks were gone. So im sure the backs are to. Plus when I slow down , I hear my brake grind some. So replacing those tomorrow. As far as a bump effecting the sound as well as turning in one direction, I haven't noticed. I just noticed that when I went around corners the noise became a little worse and I didn't check to see if directions made a difference. I will tomorrow though.
