when I am driving my car with the a/c on and i come to a stop sometimes you can hear a ticking noise coming from under the hood and it doesn't stop until u turn it off or you go. please help

mine does that sometimes so does my friends sunfire its probably a compressor but it shouldn't really worry you unless it gets really loud.
it does get pretty loud
