cel on and oil light on?

ok i dont have any cels or oil lights on when my car is running but when i have it to ACC the cel is on and the oil light is on what does this mean? i have not have it scaned yet its odd because they go away as soon as i start the car.......and where is the botton for resting the oil light?

There is no button to reset the oil light. Those lights are on cuase your running the battery power . That is normal in ACC. No worries there, You will also here your fuel pump turn on.

I do suggest however, if your only going to acc to listen to music and such, turn the key backwards. In another words, when you first put your key in the the column, turn the key toward you, its unmarked, but its a power saver mode. Your radio will work, but the dash gauges wont, nore the windows, and fuel pump, and your battery will last longer.

really those lights are norm? i dont recall seeing them and yes i know about turning the key back wards...the oil light cant be norm tho and same with the check engine light i only used to see the Ebrake light and the batt

it happens to all of our cars when we turn the key one click forward...

it's perfectly normal and means nothing...

now if the car was running and they came on, that would not be normal...

Both normal. If they didn't light up, you'd have something to worry about. The oil light lights up because you don't have oil pressure because your engine is not running. It's pretty much a bulb test to prevent unethical dealers from doing things like taping up or removing check engine lights (yes, someone did this to my Porsche!).
