Ever since I bought my 2002 Z24 with 24,000 miles on it. If I rev it up real high sometimes when it decelerates the RPMs sink real low and it dies. Other times it almost dies and comes out of it. Does anyone know why. This seems like it might be a common 2.4 problem. I have tried searching but did not find anything about this.

Why are you even reving the engine?
Well I had my hood up and the car was running and someone asked me what the supercharger sounded like. So I revved it up and then it died. It makes no difference what reason I rev my car. The point is it should return to a normal idle not die or almost die. If you are willing to help Please post, otherwise don't waste my time or yours.

first off he was helping, maybe not to your specific question, but he was ensuring that you don't just rev your car out of gear for sh*ts and giggles since it is not good for the car. since we established that that is not what you are doing, then lets hit back on topic. do you have any other problems with it, like any rpm problems at idle, or on start up?
Goal is to make my N/A Auto faster then a manual without doing engine internals
More than one supercharged 2.4 I have seen has issues with being revved and then stalling out when it drops back to idle.
I don't mean to be a jerk. I understand what he was getting at. I have no other issues with the car. It has done it ever since I bought it so it has nothing to do with the supercharger. (The supercharger has only been installed for about 1,500 miles) It has done it even when I first bought it and it was stock. None of the mods I have done have had any effect on it good or bad. I will try cleaning the carbon from the TB and the IAC moter. Hopefully that will help it respond quicker. I am still very open to ideas so feel free to add. Thanks Wade

happened to me twice w/ the charger on, and it sometimes dips to 400 and catches itself. but i rarely rev it in park anyway.

Well I cleaned the carbon off the IAC moter. It had no effect on the problem. I wonder if replacing it would help.

maybe you could try replacing your fuel pressure regulator or buying a aftermarket one. I had the same problem,and bought an aem regulator and it hasn't been back since.
