My rack and pinion went bad on my 97 sunfire (one of the years they had a recall for) and i was wondering if any newer year racks could swap into mine. I really dont want to dish out a crapload of money for a new one, and i dont think i could get it fixed under the recall.
You still should be able to get it fixed under the recall unless it has already been fixed.
i went to the dealer and the took my VIN, first they couldn't find a recall for anything, then hey said that my VIN didnt call for anything to be fixed.
