Switching coolant check this out!!!!!!!

Mods if this is in the wrong forum please move it....I wasn't really sure where to put it because it could be maintenance/performance related.......Thanks

My buddy switched over to a mix of water and redline water wetter only......and it has made his turbo delsol run much cooler and better...........ON the bottle of water wetter it has the different temp changes and the best was with just the water and wetter.........so it is do-able..................

So I'm thinking of switching over to the same thing and giving it a try......

So my question is has anybody tried this out yet? Yes I know dexcool is the recommended stuff for our cars...

Thanks guys

Water wetter does not help increase the waters boiling point. Also running water wetter and water only will not prevent rusting inside the system. I've seen a couple cars have serious rust issues cause of great ideas like this. also it won't do anything for in the winter when the water wetter WILL freeze and you will break something.

Water wetter is great stuff but you still NEED anti-freeze too ! Read the bottle it says as much. But I'd highly recomend it just make sure you use it properly.

go to a local bookstore and read Super Street for this month, you will see "keeping your cool" or something like that on the cover, it tells you all about water wetter and what it does. The article also says without at least some coolant in your engine you do not have any corrosion resistance, which anti-freeze also provides.

Some of us racers use RMI-25 and water only. Part of that is due to IF you should blow a head gasket anti-freeze doesn't take out the bearings. In my daily drivers I use premixed 50/50 solutions and RMI-25 during the summer. The best cooling media is just water but you need some lube such as RMI-25 or one of the Prestone types. I ran my Glycol mix too low with the RMI-25 in the Winter and developed some ice. If you can find the right protection mix for your temps go with that.
