Can someone please tell me where the tensioner is located on a 98 sunfire? Me and my boyfriend couldnt find it to remove the alternator! Thanks!
On the right 2.2L or 2.4L? either way it should be on the right passenager side, You see a arm piece with a pulley running against it, their should be a little bolt to get a long handled wrench on it.
You can see the tensioner moving when you push on the belt. It's spring loaded and you will need to pretension it so you can slip the belt off.
