Help!!!!! 2000 Z runs like crap!

Whats up guy's? Sorry for writing a book but I figure I should inform on all history! My 2.4(41000 miles) is running really rough. The car sat for about 3 yrs until I could pick it up and since, I have replaced the fuel pump, plugs, fuel filter and coils. Right now I am at a loss. It ran great until last week when I was on my way home from work it started to sputter and hesitate. It seems like it only does it below 2500rpm's and also cuts out once and awhile. Sometimes I have to put it in neutral and hold the gas down to keep it from stalling. It also tripped the eng. light and I took it to Advanced Auto to scan it and the scanner would not come out with anything. I really dont know what else to do besides take it to a dealer which I would prefer to save as a last resort. Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to offer!

I would get a pressure test done on youre fuel system you could have a Vaccum leak or youre injectors may need servicing. How about youre air filter what kind of condition is that in?. Could have a dirty IAC sensor.

Have you checked the plugs? See what they look like. Do a compression test while you're at it.

If the check engine light is on, there's a code... or at least a history code. Try another parts store, sounds like that Autozone doesn't know what they're doing.

i would definately try reading the code again, that could be a big help on what your car is doing. that can usually help narrow stuff down so you know where to look for the problem. could be a vacuum leak of some sort, mine did a similar thing a while back, but it could also be other stuff so definately get that code read.

Goal is to make my N/A Auto faster then a manual without doing engine internals
