Hi, How do I resset the drive cycle on a 2001 cavalier before I can check for error codes?
I assume you removed your battery cable. Now your car wont show any drive cycles.
You simply drive the car.
- 2004 Cavalier - 124k, owned since new
drive it. that's all you can do, drive it till the PCM no longer shows the code P-1000
It also depends on the code and how many drive cycle's you need to clear it.
If you need three drive cycle's, then your going to drive three times turning off the engine and restarting it three times.
