Hey there; i know there is a post alreday about this opic, but its under the boost section and i cant seem to get a answer there because my car is not boosted.
I went to clean my intake the other day, and i noticed some oil in my intake tube, i just got an oil change two days before that as well; the oil looked fresh and new.
I heard this was nothing to worry about and its commen, but it does worry me; what causes this to happen?
There was a little rubber hose that ran from the black 2200 box to my valve cover; but i replaced that hose with a breather filter like 2 years ago.
I dont take my intake off much; but this is the first time i ever noticed oil in my intake and a tiny bit in my 2200 air box thing.
What causes this to happen, i have the 2200,98.
Thanks very much ......

Had black oil and carbon buildup in my Intake Manifold that i discovered Tuesday. Still dunno where it came from, as the oil in the car never gets to a blackened state, nor sludgy. Someone i work with said it could have been the intake manifold gasket, which would sorta make sense, as i changed the cams about two weeks prior to that, but i think its been there longer than that.
Yeah the oil i found was new, clean, fresh that was in my intake tube(aftermarket)
Just wondering, how and why there is oil there?
