Ok, so i roll my window down last night. then i decide to put it back up and it doesnt go. i think "oh no, not another window motor" then i see that it has come off the track. it was still able to go down since it was getting stuck on the way up, so i decided to try and fix it. 2 hours later, i was able to get it back on track and it went up and down fine. then i had to put the door panel back on and went to roll it all the way, but instead now it just stops after going about 3 inches.
any ideas or thoughts as to what i can do will be greatly appreciated. i just dont understand how it worked fine for the times i was checking it out, and then just got stuck i guess. i dont think its being stoppped by anything in the door, but i have to take a look later today since i was doing this at 11 last nite
Seems to me something is making youre power window off track, I did make sure the tracks are well greased, And window arms are straight and greased as well, I remember a guy at my work had the same problem, Due to the outter tracks didnt have enough grease in which caused the window to either pop off track or jam, In which time later will cause you window motor to burn out.
Good Luck.
when it goes down that little bit ands stops, i see that it is off track. are you saying if i grease up the tracks that should help me with my problem? im not trying to put the window down anyway because i dont want to mess up the motor.
