Well, let me start by first saying that I bought my 2001 brand new and good god ole mighty was it a peice of @!#$ from the get go. Now, I do know that this is an economy car. Also, when the car was built the domestic car makers were really cranking out @!#$. I blame myself for buying it. Mostly becaue my gf thought it was "cute". Little advice, when buying a car, leave the gf's at home. Anyways, when the car rolled over to 100,000km's, more problems started. I mean, in the grand scheme of things they were small problems. Battery dying, left turn signal light burning out, rear struts going. So, when the car got to exactly 100,368km's I drove onto a mazda dealership's lot and walked out 3 hours later with a 2006 mazda3 sport GT. Surprisingly, the total cost to my wallet is 10 dollars more a month including insurance then the drain that was my cavalier. I respect all of you guys with your cars, doing what you do to them. If you are willing to deal with the problems that these cars have all the power to you. I was not and had had enough of the @!#$. I was not sad to see it go and my ownly regret was that I couldn't force GM to fix the @!#$ thing because they have possibly the worst customer service in the history of business. No wonder they lost 10 billion last year. Good business starts with good customer service and they don't have it. Anyways, I am done my mini rant. Enjoy your cars gentlemen. Some of them are pretty damn nice to look at too so keep up the good work. I'm done.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with J-Bodies.
I've had my 2002 since December of 2003 and the only problem I've had has been a bad starter (replaced myself), power window failure (replaced myself) and the 2 low blower speeds not working on my HVAC.
There are a few bad grapes in every vine, don't let your experiences with one J-Body distort your views on every other J-Body.
