hey guys. i got a problem with my 2000 sunfire. I noticed it in my driveway the last few days. When i'm going down a dirt road, and put my brakes on my rear driver's side tire just locks up and slides... there's not braking, it just slides along??? why is this tire locking up first before all the other's? Thanks
I'd pull the brake drum and have a look. It could be several things, brake lining worn & groves on the drum will lead to early lockup as it grabs. Also mis-adjusted rear brakes or defective return springs. On these cars if you don't use the parking brake on a regular basis the rear brakes do not self-adjust well.

This is almost always caused by a leaking brake wheel cylinder....
The leak may not be apparent from the outside.....
But fluid is still getting past the cylinder cup.....
Almost always, just routine service of the brake cylinder will cure......
