Somebody I know has a 1993 Sunbird with 113,xxx miles on it, she just got this car and according to her it has, "Timing belt, drving belt, A/C Belt, water pump, upper radiator hose, lower, changed oil and filter, air filter , fuel filter, delco spark plugs, rear monroe shocks, changed transmision filter, Gasket and fluid, valve cover gasket". From aim.
She's says the car shudders at idle. She's asking me for suggestions.
My first guess is an 02 sensor.
Second is a fuel injector issue.
I'd like some more opinions if you guys wouldn't mind.
She's going to start watching her tach when at idle both when it is and isn't shuddering. If she ever does, I'll post up the rpms. Maybe that will help.
Also, it's an automatic if that helps.
Thanks.
I would guess plug wires next as it's the cheapest option
but how about a scan to cut the guesswork?
Also, as it is an automatic if it shudders in gear it may be the Torque Converter Clutch solenoid. You could temporarily disconnect the Blue connector on the drivers side front of the transmission and see if this stops the problem. If it shudders in neutral or or park disregard this second paragraph.
Hope this helps
