ok so iam driving and i smell radiator, i oull over and a small hose comming from the firewall area is leaking like a siv. As i look closer at this hose it it just an elbow joint of a hose with nothing attached to it and coolent is freely flowing from it. is this hose supposed to have an open end? i was not able to find the other part of the hose if there is any at all. anyone know what this is?

What year is your car? Have you ever had a heater core by-pass?

1999 2.2 ohv, I have never had a heater core bypass to my knowledge, i bought the car used but hat is what i was kinda thinking that the heater core is clogged or something and that is some kind of overflow thingy.

There is a metal tube that runs from the back bottom of the resovior into the fire wall, i am assuming this is to the heater core, the elbow is right next to it and the colent juist comes flowing out of it. is this suposed to have plug in it?
