97 Fire starting problems...

I've got a '97 Sunfire with 180,000km's on it. Two days ago it started right up and ran the way it should. Then a day later, a friend of mine left the stereo on and it killed the battery, so I figured alright, I'll boost it in the morning before I go get the windshield replaced. I tried boosting it the next day and nothing, it turned over and kicked a couple of times but no starting. I checked for spark and there is also the plugs are wet with fuel when i pulled them. I pulled them out and am letting the motor sit for a while hoping to dry the cylinders out in case i flooded it.

Anyone ever have any problems similar to this?

How long did you jumper it before you tried to start it? A completely dead battery will need to be charged for about 10 minutes before the car will start. Or you can disconnect the battery, jumper to the positive cable and chassis, then it should start too.

Ya the battery was recharged and still nothing. I was told that sometimes when a battery dies it triggers the computer into dumping a lot of fuel into the cylinders and causing it to flood?

I don't know what to do. Im changing the plugs and whatnot tonight and unhooking the battery for 20 minutes maybe that will do something. If not....tow bar it is....
