yeah i picked up the car last night around 6ish when they closed. I AM @!#$ PISSED.
1.the clutch still does not feel right, it feels light as a feather when trying to engage.
2. THE DEALERSHIP PUT ALMOST 100 MILES ON THE CAR THIS WEEK WHILE IT WAS SUPPOSABLY UNDRIVABLE)
3. WHOEVER WORK ON MY CAR STOLE AROUND $3 IN QUARTERS OUT FO MY CAR.
now i dont care if they stole ten cents or $3 dollars its the princable of the mater.
so i am going to drive the car semi-hard this weekend to see how the clutch responds, and if it does not improve or i am not happy with it it is ging to a different dealership on monday morning.
i will now be calling the dealership back and informing them about how much they fail at life and i am also going to be calling whoever you guys suggested a gm regional rep or whatever.
i am this close to clling it quits with this american car and getting the new si but i dont want to let this car go i have awesome wheels sitting in my garage waiting to be put on when this mess gets over with.
don't see what it being an american car has to do with it. it's just as difficult with imports.
Yea....has nothing to do with import vs domestic......its a bad dealership. As for the milage, its not uncommon for the cars to be quality tested to make sure that the car is safe to drive again. When i worked with Honda in DE, we had to take a new model accord around for around 75mi to make sure that the clutch was running properly. Of course, with that, we informed the customer that this was being done, gave them a free detail, filled the tank, and all that jazz, just to keep the customer happy.
In other words, make them fix it, emburse you for the time, gas, and see what else you can get out of it. If that fails, then contact a local GM Rep, and explain the situation to him. Once these dealers hear from a higher up, they tend to get things in gear (no pun intended), and get things done, and done right.

Dude that sucks. It just seems to me that pontiac dealers suck.
And the porters or detailers could have taken the money other than the tech.
Also, the dealership is suppose to tell you if they need to drive the car for extended periods of time. (or common sense tells them too)
Sounds like the tech drove it home a couple days in a row.
Being u have so many issue's with ur car why don't u look on the web under ur states laws for LEMMON car rules and legislation.Ur car may fall under ur states lemmon law policy, and assuming u did buy it new, from ur old post I think u did so I would strongly recommend following this up.This may or may not help u.If none of this applies at least I tried to help and may better things become of ur current status with this car.
it doesnt fall under aknsas lemon laws yet
it ahd to be broke 4 times of the same thing or 10 times of different thigns or 30 days in the shop all of these which have to be under the warrenty of 3 years.

I've been really lucky the 2 dealers I've dealt with have been really cool.
Duncan Pontiac in Christiansburg, VA
Burdette Brothers Pontiac in Hyattstown, MD
Both take very good care of their customers.
If the shop manager isn't good the shop isn't good. With a problematic car such as yours they should have taken the extra time to make sure it was done right.
Good luck and keep us updated.

clutch is self adjusting, give it a bit of time

i am going to but the clutch was never replaced it was just the master cyclinder, it just feels so weak and i can hardly feel it engage. i have put around 60 miles on the car in 2 days since i got it back from the dealership and nothing has changed with the clutch yet but i intend to drive it a good amount this afternoon since its nice out here and i need to go look for some new subs, i will let everybody know either tonight or tomorrow if i go back to the dealership.
