I got a 01 Z and I just put in a new used fuel pump, changed fuel filter and still having problems with the fuel pump not turning on but when it finally does, it runs fines.....I am wondering if it could be the fuel pump relay....how do I check it? my chiltons says to hook up a fused jumper but I am not sure which positions to hook it up to...just want to be sure...any other posibilities? I did check voltage and the relay is getting 12.35 volts of power.

an apparant loose wire in the junction box where the fuel pump harness plugs into the box under the passanger side of the rear seat and then the wires run forward to the relay and such
