I just got 4 original rims from a SAAB, it marks as 6J¡Á15H2, the owner says its original tire size is 195/60/R15, my car's tire size is 195/65/R15, 1999 cavalier, can I use it on my car?thanks.
it'll just be a shorter side wall...
GO PATS!!!
I mean I just use these rims, for tires, still 195/65/r15. what i am thinking is if the rims fit for my car? thanks for reply.
oooh you need to know if the rims fit. well, do you know the bolt pattern of the rims and the offset? jbodies have a 5x100 bolt pattern and typically have an offset somewhere between +35 and +44
GO PATS!!!
it's 5 spoke too, and mark as GM KQ, mine's also 5 spokes too. but i don't know the offset? what does that mean?
5 spoke doesn't mean anything. you need to have a 5x100 bolt pattern. meaning there's 5 holes for your lug nuts to go through.
lets do it the easy way, give me the year and kind of SAAB that the rims are from and i'll find out if they'll work for ya.
GO PATS!!!
sorry, i don't know its year, i bought it from yardsale. if i can do it this way:take off the tire from my car, and put it on my car, and see if the bolt hole can let the lug go through?thanks
yea you can do it that way, just more work. if you have 5 holes, it'll be close. but if its not the right pattern you'll know right away. the holes will either be spaced too far apart or too close together.
the offset just determines how far the wheel sticks out...
GO PATS!!!
thanks so much, i will do it right away.
wow im lost. well if they do fit ill tell you now the speedo is going to be off since its not the same size tire or the proper tire size.
as for offset, thats basically where the center of the bore is in relation to the wheel. 35-48mm being a negative offset would fit a j. some people can run different offsets due to their suspensions.
unfortunately, the bolt pattern doesn't fit my car, i can use it on my car! anyway i really apreciate your profational help. thanks again!
